    Ralph L Wadsworth (RLW) Construction Company provides opportunities to learn and make application technical principles in our internship program. Our internships are with the goal to evaluate the candidates' potential as a possible future, full-time employee.

     

    As an intern within the HR department, the main duties will be within recruiting.  Other responsibilities will be assisting HR specialists with onboarding new hires, data entry, benefits administration, document control of compliance information, and other HR functions.

     

    Internship will run approximately 4+ months.

     

    Internship Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00pm

    Responsibilities

    • Source candidates, learn to review resume and match great candidates to open jobs utilizing ATS (applicant tracking system)
    • Initiate conversation with prospective candidates and manage them through the entire placement process
    • Screen candidates for basic qualifications, interest, salary, availability and more
    • Work closely with Sr Recruiter and HR to: develop strategies to generate candidate flow; develop an effective pipeline of key talent available for immediate hire and future hire; meet overall recruiting goals; and maintain effective working relationships with hiring managers
    • Partner with HR Coordinator on new hire onboarding tasks, data entry, benefits administration, and HR functions.
    • Understand technical terms and trends
    • Help improve social media and branding implementations
    • Support talent acquisition related events or programs including networking events, career fairs, or internship program

    Qualifications

    • Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or similar programs.
    • Minimum GPA 3.0
    • Work well in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
    • Proficient computer experience to include proficient in the Microsoft Suite
    • Speak Spanish is preferred
    • Attention to details and strong communication skills required
    • Ability to ask hard follow-up questions is required.
